Add sub-users to your plan

Sub-users are colleagues who get their own Mangools login on your plan.

Written by Dev + MKT

Sub-users are colleagues who get their own Mangools login on your plan. Premium includes 3 sub-users and Agency includes 5. Basic and AI Search Watcher Pro include none. Sub-users share your account's limits, and you add them on the Team page of your Mangools dashboard.

How many sub-users does each plan include?

The pricing page calls sub-users "extra seats". The Premium card says "3 extra seats available" and the Agency card "5 extra seats available". The Basic card says "No extra seats available".

How to add a sub-user

  1. In the top menu, select Team. The page is headed Manage team.

  2. Select Add teammate. A window titled "Add new teammate" opens.

  3. Under Email address, type your colleague's email address, then select Add teammate.

The Mangools dashboard Team page headed Manage team, with Add your teammates, the line Currently you have 3 seats available., the Buy more seats and Add teammate buttons, and the table with the columns Email, Status and Actions showing the owner as Main Account.

The Team page shows how many seats you have left, for example "Currently you have 3 seats available." Its table lists each person with the columns Email, Status and Actions. Your own row says "Main Account".

If you cannot add or remove a sub-user on the Team page, contact us through the live chat or at [email protected].

Basic does not include a team. On Basic, you cannot add sub-users or buy extra seats. On Free+, the Team page says "Add your teammates to share your account!" and shows Upgrade your plan instead.

What sub-users share with you

Sub-users use your account's limits. Every keyword lookup, SERP lookup, site lookup and backlink row a sub-user uses comes out of the same allowance as yours. On a plan without sub-users, the Team page puts it this way: "You can share your account, limit and resources with your teammates."

Each sub-user signs in with their own email address and password. You do not need to share your own login.

What sub-users do not see

  • Billing info is not in a sub-user's account menu. Billing stays with the account owner.

  • On an Agency plan, a sub-user's account menu has no upgrade buttons.

  • In SERPWatcher, a sub-user does not see Whitelabel in the menu, so white-label reports are set up by the owner.

You need more sub-users

On Premium and Agency, you can buy extra seats for more sub-users than your plan includes. Select Buy more seats on the Team page. Basic cannot buy extra seats.

You can also move to a plan with more seats. Agency includes the most sub-users of the plans on the pricing page: 5. To move from Basic or Premium to a larger plan, see Upgrade or downgrade your plan.

Sub-users or one shared login?

A shared login counts toward your plan's simultaneous logins: 1 on Basic, 3 on Premium and 10 on Agency. When too many people sign in with the same login, one of them is signed out. With sub-users, each person has their own login, and nobody needs your password. See Simultaneous logins and the 'You have been logged out' message.
