SERPChecker shows SEO metrics next to every result on the search engine results page (SERP). Link Profile Strength (LPS) is always shown. The other columns are your choice: select Metrics settings and pick from 49 metrics in four groups. Nine are on by default.
Choose which metrics to show
Run a search in SERPChecker.
Select Metrics settings above the results, or press M. On a small screen, the button says Metrics.
In the Choose SEO metrics to show window, tick the metrics you want. Each one has a short description under its name.
Select Done.
To find a metric fast, type part of its name in the search box at the top of the window, for example "moztrust". Reset to default ticks the nine default metrics again. Done stays greyed out until at least one metric is ticked.
SERPChecker remembers your choice in this browser. Changing the metrics loads nothing new, so it uses no SERP lookup.
The default columns are DA, PA, CF, TF, FB, WPR, Links, RD and RI. Point at a column heading to see what the metric means.
Link Profile Strength (LPS)
LPS is the first column after the URL, and you cannot hide it. Its tooltip says it is the "Overall Link Profile Strength of the URL developed by Mangools". The number runs from 0 to 100 and is colored from green for a weak link profile to red for a strong one.
Keyword SEO Difficulty, the score above the table, is calculated from the LPS of the pages on the first results page. Analyze a search results page with SERPChecker explains that score.
Moz metrics
The MOZ metrics group holds 28 metrics from Moz. Two of them are on by default:
DA (Domain Authority): a Moz score that predicts how well a website will rank. It runs from 1 to 100.
PA (Page Authority): the same kind of score for one page.
The other Moz metrics are MozRank and MozTrust for the URL, its subdomain and its root domain. There are also counts of links and linking domains, Linking C Blocks and Subdomain Spam Score. MozRank measures link popularity on a scale from 0 to 10. The scale is logarithmic, so a step from 8 to 9 is much harder than a step from 3 to 4.
Majestic metrics
The MAJESTIC metrics group holds 19 metrics from Majestic. Five of them are on by default:
CF (Citation Flow): how influential a URL might be, based on how many sites link to it.
TF (Trust Flow): a score based on link quality. Pages linked from trusted sites score higher, and pages with questionable links score lower.
Links (External BackLinks): the number of external backlinks, of every type except mentions.
RD (Referring Domains): how many websites link to the page.
RI (Referring IPs): how many IP addresses those links come from. Many websites can share one IP address.
The other Majestic metrics include Referring SubNets, backlinks and referring domains from education and government sites, Indexed URLs and outgoing link counts. AC Rank is Majestic's older metric, replaced by Citation Flow.
Social metrics: Facebook shares
The SOCIAL metrics group has one metric, Facebook Shares. The FB column shows how many times the URL was shared on Facebook. It is on by default.
Other metrics: Website Popularity Rank (WPR)
The OTHER metrics group has one metric, Website Popularity Rank. The WPR column is on by default. WPR comes from Tranco. It roughly measures how popular a website is compared with all other websites, based on unique visitors and pages viewed per visit. A smaller number means a more popular website. A website without a rank shows N/A.
What the colors and N/A mean
Scores on a scale, such as DA, PA, CF and TF, are colored by value. Low values are green, middle values grey, and high values orange or red. Counts, such as Links, RD and FB, are always grey.
Large counts are shortened, for example 1.2k. N/A means the data provider has no value for that URL.
SERP Features Impact
Above the table, SERP Features Impact rates the whole results page from 0 to 5. Its tooltip says it "Measures the impact of SERP Features on organic results engagement. The higher is the impact, the lower is the engagement." So a high score means people engage less with the organic results on that page.
Score | Label |
0 | minimal |
1 | very low |
2 | low |
3 | average |
4 | high |
5 | very high |
Select the label next to the score to open this scale in SERPChecker.
Number of results
Number of results, above the table, is "The overall number of results for this keyword." SERPChecker shows it in short form, for example 156k. Point at the number to see it in full. If there is no count for the keyword, it shows N/A.
