On Basic and Premium, SERPWatcher updates your rankings once a week. On Agency, it updates them every day. The date picker in each tracking marks the scheduled updates with a dot.
Plan | Ranking updates |
Basic | Weekly |
Premium | Weekly |
Agency | Daily |
Custom plans follow the Agency schedule, with daily updates.
When is the next SERPWatcher update?
Open a tracking and select the date field to open the date picker. Days with a dot and the tooltip "Top 100 update is scheduled" are the coming updates. On Basic, Premium and Free+, every coming Sunday has a red dot. On Agency and Custom, every coming day has an orange dot.
The calendar uses your computer's time zone.
To see when a keyword's rank was last updated, hover over the rank. The tooltip shows the date, for example "Last updated: 2026-10-05". It does not show the time.
Do Basic and Premium get any update between weekly checks?
On Basic and Premium, the same SERPWatcher position for several days in a row is expected. It is the position from the last weekly update, not a frozen tracking. Basic and Premium get no other ranking check between weekly updates. If you need daily updates, they come with Agency.
Some pages say SERPWatcher updates daily
Some Mangools pages mention daily rankings without naming a plan. For example, the SERPWatcher agency rank-tracking page says "SERPWatcher updates rankings daily". The footer of that page and the main SERPWatcher page say daily updates are on Agency.
Daily SERPWatcher updates are on Agency and Custom only. The pricing page shows the frequency for each plan in the Ranks update frequency row of each card: Weekly on Basic and Premium, Daily on Agency.
Does the Free plan get SERPWatcher ranking updates?
A Free account gets SERPWatcher ranking updates for 30 days from registration, Free+ days included. An account that moved to Free from a paid plan gets them for 30 days from its last payment. After that, the updates stop until you upgrade. Your trackings and their history stay. See Free and Free+ plans explained.
New trackings and new keywords
You do not wait for the next weekly update to see a new tracking's first ranks. When you create a tracking, SERPWatcher says "Your ranks will be ready in about" a number of minutes. In one test, a new tracking on a weekly plan showed its first ranks about 5 minutes after it was created.
When you add keywords to a tracking, SERPWatcher shows the same message. After the first rank, each keyword follows your plan's schedule.
Change the period your graphs show
In SERPWatcher, the timeframe sets the period your graphs and rank changes cover. To change it:
Select the date field with the calendar icon at the top right of the tracking. It shows the current period, for example Last 30 days.
In Choose a timeframe, pick a ready-made period, from Today to Entire history, or pick your own dates in the calendar.
Select Set timeframe.
For a tracking older than 30 days, the default timeframe is the last 30 days, ending yesterday. A newer tracking starts on the day it was created, so a tracking created today opens on Today.
SERPWatcher shows up to 2 years of history. Days before the tracking was created cannot be chosen. On a new tracking, a ready-made period that starts before the tracking was created does nothing when you select it. Pick Today or Entire history instead.
SERPWatcher keeps your timeframe in the page address, so reloading the page keeps it. When you open SERPWatcher again, the tracking shows the default timeframe.
You need daily updates
Daily SERPWatcher updates come with Agency. See Upgrade or downgrade your plan and compare plans in Mangools plans compared: what each plan includes. If a ranking looks stuck rather than weekly, read Rankings missing, stuck on 'processing' or showing 101+.
