Type a domain or URL into SiteProfiler and select Analyze. SiteProfiler shows the website's authority scores, its backlinks, its top content and similar websites, on one page. Each analysis uses one site lookup from your plan.
Run a SiteProfiler analysis
Open SiteProfiler.
Type a domain or URL in Enter a domain or URL, for example
mangools.com.Select Analyze.
On the results page, the same button is a magnifier icon.
To find an earlier analysis, select History in the menu bar under the top bar. The Search history panel lists the websites you analyzed. Click one to open it again.
Domain, subdomain or URL: which one to type
SiteProfiler recognizes four kinds of input and shows a yellow badge with the kind next to the website's name. Click the badge to see the Supported Input Types window.
Badge | Example | What you get |
Root domain |
| Data for the whole website. This is the recommended input. |
Subdomain |
| Data for that subdomain only. www counts as a subdomain. |
Exact URL |
| Data for that one page |
Path URL* |
| Combined data for every page under that path |
For an exact URL, http and https are different URLs and show different data. So are the www and non-www versions.
For a path URL*, the scores and cards at the top of the analysis show N/A. Top content lists the pages under that path.
For a subdomain or an exact URL, SiteProfiler shows "Change to root domain to see domain scoped data." Select Change to root domain to analyze the whole website instead. That is a new analysis, and it uses one site lookup.
What a SiteProfiler analysis shows
A SiteProfiler analysis has four sections. On a larger screen, the menu on the left jumps to each one: Overview, Backlinks, Top content and Competitors. The lower sections load as you scroll down to them.
Overview: Domain Authority, Page Authority, Citation Flow and Trust Flow, and trend cards for Website Popularity Rank (WPR), Referring IPs and Facebook shares.
Backlinks (the section heading says "Backlink profile"): new and lost backlinks, the total, link types, referring domains and anchor texts.
Top content: the website's best pages by referring domains and Facebook shares.
Competitors: similar websites.
SiteProfiler metrics explained explains each number in the Overview and Backlinks sections.
Top content
The SiteProfiler Top content section lists the analyzed website's best pages. Each row shows the page's image and description, its Facebook shares (FB) and its referring domains (RD). Sort the list with By Referring domains or By Facebook shares.
Top content shows "No data available" for an exact URL, because it lists pages of a website, not one page. It also shows it when fewer than two pages have data. To see top content, analyze the root domain.
Competitors
The SiteProfiler Competitors section lists websites similar to the one you analyzed. The first row is your own website, so you can compare. The columns are:
WPR: Website Popularity Rank. A smaller number is better.
RI: the number of referring IP addresses.
FB: Facebook shares.
SK: the number of keywords the competitor shares with your website.
Point at a competitor and select Analyze to open its own analysis. That uses one more site lookup. The row's menu also has Show backlinks, which opens LinkMiner and uses backlink rows there.
The Competitors section works at the root domain level. For an exact URL, it says "This section is displaying root domain scoped data." For a subdomain, it says "This section might be displaying root domain scoped data."
How many SiteProfiler analyses does your plan include?
A site lookup is one website or URL you analyze in SiteProfiler. The pricing card calls this limit "Site analysis".
Plan | Site lookups per 24 hours |
Free | 2 |
Free+ (the first 10 days) | 5 |
Basic | 20 |
Premium | 70 |
Agency | 150 |
AI Search Watcher Pro | 2 |
Site lookups reset every 24 hours. To see how many you have left, open the account menu from your avatar at the top right and check the Site lookups bar. How lookups and limits work, and when they reset has the details.
"Your plan has expired" or "You're doing too much"
When your site lookups run out, SiteProfiler replaces the analysis with a message. On the Free plan, it says "Your plan has expired". This means the Free plan's site lookups are used up for now. Your account is still open. On Free+ and on paid plans, it says "You're doing too much" and "You have spent all your lookups."
In both cases, wait for the 24-hour reset or upgrade with Upgrade my plan. See Out of limits? Your options.
"No data for this URL"
SiteProfiler shows "No data for this URL" when its backlink data source has no record of the website or page. The message says "The page probably doesn't exist or we don't have any data for it since it might be not indexed yet." Check the spelling, try the root domain, or try again later. An analysis that ends with this message does not use a site lookup.
Sample data before you sign in
If you open SiteProfiler without signing in, it shows a sample analysis of globe.com. A window on top says "Get FREE access with ALL the features". Its numbers are placeholders, not real data. The sample's menu also has an Audience item, which real analyses do not have. Sign in or create a free account to analyze a real website.
