The top of a SiteProfiler analysis shows four authority scores from 0 to 100 and three trend cards: Website Popularity Rank (WPR), Referring IPs and Facebook shares. The Backlinks section below shows how many backlinks the website gained and lost, its total backlinks, and who links to it with which anchor texts. Point at the question mark or the column heading next to any number to see its definition.

Domain Authority and Page Authority

Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) are scores from Moz, shown as gauges from 0 to 100. In SiteProfiler, DA predicts how well a domain will rank, and PA how well one page will rank. Moz calculates them from links, for example the number of linking root domains and total links.

The gauge colors run from green for low scores to red for high scores. A gauge shows N/A when Moz has no data for the website.

Citation Flow and Trust Flow

Citation Flow (CF) and Trust Flow (TF) are scores from Majestic, also from 0 to 100. In SiteProfiler, Citation Flow is about link quantity: how many sites link to the URL. Trust Flow is about link quality: sites closely linked to trusted seed sites score higher, and sites with questionable links score lower.

Website Popularity Rank (WPR)

Website Popularity Rank is "a global ranking that compares the popularity of the 1 million most visited websites on the Internet." In SiteProfiler, a smaller WPR is better.

Because smaller is better, the WPR chart is drawn upside down, so an improving website goes up. A falling WPR shows its percentage in green, with an up arrow.

Referring IPs and Facebook shares

Referring IPs is the number of IP addresses that link to the website, from Majestic. Many websites can share one IP address. Facebook shares is the number of times the URL was shared on Facebook.

The trend chart and its timeframe

Select the WPR, Referring IPs or Facebook shares card to draw its history in the large chart below. The chart shows Last 12 Months by default. Use the menu in the chart's corner to switch to Last 30 days, Last 90 days or Entire history.

The SiteProfiler trend cards with Website Popularity Rank selected, the WPR chart below it, and the timeframe menu open with Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 12 Months and Entire history.

The percentage on each card compares the latest value with the value about a year earlier. If the history is shorter, it uses the oldest value. It does not change when you pick another timeframe.

When SiteProfiler has no history for the selected card, the chart says "Not enough history data."

Active backlinks and lost backlinks (last 4 months)

The Backlinks section opens with two numbers. Despite its name, Active backlinks (last 4 months) counts the new backlinks the website gained in that period. It is not the number of backlinks the website has today. Lost backlinks counts the backlinks that were deleted in the same period.

The chart under them shows new and lost backlinks day by day. Point at a day to see its numbers. The tooltip calls them "Active Backlinks" and "Deleted Backlinks".

Total backlinks (all time)

Total backlinks (all time) is the number of backlinks recorded for the website. The percentage next to it shows how the total changed over the period in the chart.

Show all backlinks opens LinkMiner with the same website in a new tab. LinkMiner uses backlink rows for the backlinks it loads.

Link types, dofollow and active ratios

  • Link type distribution: the share of text, image, frame and redirect links.

  • Dofollow links ratio: dofollow links compared with nofollow links.

  • Active links ratio: links that still exist compared with deleted links.

Referring domains, IPs and subnets

Three cards count where the backlinks come from: Referring domains (websites), Referring IPs (IP addresses) and Referring subnets (groups of IP addresses, such as 212.100.100.*). Each card also shows the average number of backlinks per domain, per IP or per subnet. A card shows N/A when its count is zero.

Top referring domains

The SiteProfiler Top referring domains table lists the websites that link to the analyzed website. The columns are CF, TF, Links (all backlinks from that domain to the website) and WPR. Click a column heading to sort by it.

Next to the table, Website Popularity Rank distribution groups the top 100 referring domains by their WPR: Top 10k, Top 100k, Top 300k, Top 1M and Over 1M.

Each row's menu has Show backlinks (LinkMiner) and Analyze website (a new SiteProfiler analysis, which uses a site lookup). Export gives Copy to clipboard for the domain names and Export to CSV for the table.

Anchor texts

The SiteProfiler Anchor texts table lists the most common link texts pointing to the website. The columns are Type, RD (referring domains that use the anchor), Total (how often it occurs) and Share (its percentage of all anchor texts). A link without text shows as "<empty anchor>".

Filter by type with the dropdown: All anchor types, Branded, Naked or Other. The Type tooltip also names "Organic", but SiteProfiler uses only those three types. Anchor type distribution shows the mix, based on the top 100 anchor texts.

Each row's menu has Find related keywords (KWFinder) and Analyze SERP (SERPChecker). Both open in a new tab and use that tool's lookups. Export works as for referring domains, with anchor texts in place of domain names.
