Open Settings in the left menu to change a monitor's website, brand, brand name variations, AI models, email reports and display options. Two things to know first: removing an AI model permanently deletes that model's history, and the location and language cannot be changed.

Removing an AI model deletes its history

When you untick an AI model the monitor already tracks, AI Search Watcher asks "Remove model from monitoring?". For Gemini, for example, it warns: "All historical ranking data for Gemini will be permanently lost. This action cannot be undone."

Remove Model takes the model off the list, and the removal takes effect when you select Save. Cancel keeps the model and its data.

To hide a model's results without losing them, untick it in the model filter at the top of the page instead. The filter changes only what you see.

Location and language cannot be changed

In Settings, the location and language are greyed out. The page says "Location is set during monitor creation and cannot be changed. To use a different location, create a new monitor." The language works the same way.

To monitor another country or language, create a new monitor, then delete the old one if you no longer need it. Create a monitor in AI Search Watcher walks through it.

Change the website, brand or AI models

  1. Select Settings in the left menu.

  2. Under Monitor's settings, edit Website, Brand, Brand name variations (optional) or LLMs to monitor.

  3. Select Save. AI Search Watcher confirms with "Settings updated successfully".

The same rules apply as when you created the monitor. The brand is 2 to 50 characters, without commas or brackets. You can add up to 10 brand name variations. At least one AI model must stay selected.

Your changes show from the next weekly check. Except for a removed AI model, your earlier data stays as it was. While a new monitor collects its first data, Settings is unavailable.

Display options

Under Display options, choose what the Brand dashboard shows for this monitor:

  • Display brand perceptions for this monitor

  • Display AI Search Score label

  • Display performance cards

  • Display performance summary

Each option has a Yes checkbox. Ticked means the item is shown. Select Save under the options. Hiding a card with the X on the dashboard changes the same setting.

The Display options card in Settings with Display brand perceptions for this monitor, Display AI Search Score label, Display performance cards and Display performance summary, each with a Yes checkbox, and Save.

The brand perception is wrong

The brand perception card shows what one AI model believes about your brand on its own, without any hints from us. If the description is wrong, that is the finding: the model does not have a clear picture of your brand yet. It does not change any metric.

There is no option to regenerate or edit the description. That is deliberate, because an edited text would hide what the model really says. You can rate the description with the thumbs up or down next to "Is this accurate?". To stop seeing it, select the X on the card or turn off Display brand perceptions for this monitor.

Email reports

The E-mail reports section at the top of Settings sets weekly or monthly reports for this monitor. See Share a monitor and get email reports.

Delete a monitor

Select the three-dot menu at the top right of the page, next to Add prompts, and select Delete monitor. The window warns "Be careful! They'll be gone forever." Confirm with Delete monitor forever. The monitor's slot and prompts go back to your allowance, as AI Search Watcher limits: monitors and prompts explains.
