Why your monitor shows no data yet

A new monitor shows no data while AI Search Watcher collects its first results, which the app says usually takes about 10 minutes. After that, AI Search Watcher checks it once a week, so new prompts and changed settings show data only after the next weekly check. Find what you see below to tell a normal wait from a real problem.

"Collecting your brand insights from AI search platforms"

A brand-new monitor shows "Collecting your brand insights from AI search platforms". The screen says the first results usually take about 10 minutes, and longer when the AI models are slow to answer. Half an hour is not unusual. The page refreshes on its own when the data is ready.

While you wait, the numbers on the dashboard are sample data, not your results. Every section except Brand dashboard is unavailable, with a tooltip such as "Prompts unavailable while data is processing". The Add prompts button is unavailable too. All of them come back on their own when the first data arrives.

Sometimes the first results take much longer. Leave the monitor as it is and check again after 12 hours. If it still shows this screen after a day, contact us through the live chat or at [email protected] with the monitor's brand name. We can check the monitor, or you can delete it and create it again.

You added prompts, but they have no data

Prompts added to an existing monitor are checked at the next weekly check. Until then, they appear without results. AI Search Watcher shows a banner: you will see the new data after the next check on Tuesday, and your earlier data stays as it was.

The same applies when you change a monitor's settings, such as its AI models or brand name variations.

"Monitoring paused"

On a Free account, AI Search Watcher pauses monitoring when nobody opens the AI Search Watcher dashboard for 28 days. The monitor then shows "Monitoring paused". Paid plans are never paused this way.

A warning email arrives on day 21 and the pause email on day 28. Any visit to the dashboard starts the 28 days again. If you got the warning email, opening the link in it also keeps the monitor active.

A paused monitor loses no data. Its prompts and history stay, and the dashboard shows them behind a blurred overlay that explains the pause.

Select Reactivate monitoring on the dashboard, or the link in the pause email. Checks start again from the next scheduled run.

"None of the tracked prompts triggered AI Overview"

AI Search Watcher shows "None of the tracked prompts triggered AI Overview" when only Google AI Overviews is selected in the model filter. The message means Google showed no AI Overview for any of your prompts. It replaces the AI Search Score card, which then shows "Not available". The same message can appear in Citations.

Not every Google search has an AI Overview, so this is not an error. Select more AI models in the filter to see results from them, or add prompts that are more likely to get an AI Overview.

Some date ranges are disabled, or the changes look small

AI Search Watcher's dates are check dates, not calendar days. A new monitor has one check, so the date picker shows that single date. These presets need at least two checks and stay greyed out until then: Last 2 updates, Last 30 days, Last 12 months and Entire history. Last month stays greyed out while the monitor has no check from last month.

In the calendar, a blue dot on a Tuesday marks a scheduled check. Point at it to see "Brand visibility update is scheduled". Once the monitor has two checks, the dashboard compares the last two by default.

The setup screen does not move on

If Create monitor does nothing, check the prompts counter. When you have more prompts than you have available, the counter turns red and shows how many are over the limit. Create monitor then only shakes the counter, and the monitor is not created.

AI Search Watcher's Free plan has 5 prompts, and the app suggests 5. Adding one more prompt of your own goes over the limit. Remove prompts until the counter is within your limit. AI Search Watcher limits: monitors and prompts explains the limit.

If the counter is fine and the screen still does not respond, reload the page and try again. A monitor can also take longer than usual to be created. If you already selected Create monitor, leave it as it is and check again after 12 hours. If it still does not load after a day, contact us with a screenshot.
