SERP Simulator shows how your page's title and description could look in Google's search results, on desktop or mobile. It is free, and editing your snippet uses nothing. The search bar inside the preview, which loads real Google results, counts toward the tool's own allowance of searches.
How do you preview your snippet?
Open SERP Simulator.
In URL, type your page address and select Fetch data. The tool fills in the title, description, site name and icon from the page, and shows the address in the preview. You can also type the texts yourself.
Edit Site Name, Title and Description. The preview changes as you type.
In Bold keywords, type the words Google would show in bold, separated by a space or a comma.
Switch between Desktop and Mobile above the preview.
If Fetch data shows "Sorry, title and/or meta description can not be fetched.", the fields are cleared. Type the title and description yourself.
How long can the title and description be?
SERP Simulator measures the title in pixels, against 600px. The bar under the title turns red below 150px or at 600px. Over 600px, the tool warns "The title is wider than 600px and it may not be displayed in full length."
SERP Simulator measures the description against about 960px on desktop and about 680px on mobile. Its hint says "Keep it below ~158 characters." In the mobile view, it counts lines instead and warns when the description is longer than 3 lines.
These limits are the tool's own estimate of where Google cuts the text, so treat them as a guide. Capitalize title changes the title to title case.
See your snippet among real Google results
Type a keyword in the Google-style search bar ("Enter a keyword to get real search results") and press Enter. SERP Simulator loads the organic results for that keyword and shows your snippet among them. Drag a result to change the order.
The results come from the location chosen above the preview. It starts at United States. Type a city, district or country to pick another. There is no worldwide option.
Each keyword you search this way counts toward the SERP Simulator allowance. If nothing happens when you press Enter, an ad blocker or privacy extension may be blocking Google reCAPTCHA. Turn it off for mangools.com, reload the page and search again.
What the example options add to the preview
The Options checkboxes add examples around your snippet so you can see the layout. None of them uses data about your page or keyword:
AI Overview and Map pack: fixed example images.
Ads: a fixed sample ad for Mangools.
Rating: fixed stars, always 4.1 from 112 votes.
Date: today's date in your snippet.
Is the heatmap real click data?
No. The Heatmap is an estimate drawn by fixed rules, not measured clicks or eye tracking. SERP Simulator scores your text and shows a stronger or weaker heat area from that score.
The rules raise or lower the score for:
the length of the title and of the description
a call-to-action word, a power word or a number in the title
a description of two or more sentences
your bold keywords in the title or the description
Use the heatmap to compare versions of your own snippet, not to predict clicks.
Save, copy and share a preview
Save as image downloads the preview as a PNG file. It is not shown on small screens.
Copy HTML copies a
<title>tag and a<meta name="description">tag with your text.Share a link copies a link that opens the same preview. Your title, description and URL are written into the link, so anyone with it can read them.
Reset clears the form and goes back to Desktop and United States.
When the searches run out
If you are not signed in, SERP Simulator says "Looks like you've hit the search limit!" and offers a free account. If you are signed in, it says "You've used all of your searches. Please upgrade, or wait for the counters to reset." Editing and previewing your snippet keeps working either way. See Mangools free SEO tools and their limits.
